Richard
Johnston - Richard founded Johnston Asset Management in 1985. Prior to
that time, he was a Senior Vice President and Director of Eberstadt Asset Management;
the firm managed pension and individual assets of more than $3 billion. In 1972,
he joined the new investment advisory department at F. Eberstadt & Co., where
he became a Vice President and stockholder in 1974. Eberstadt's investment management
business was spun off and sold to Marsh & McLennan in 1979. By 1982, Richard
was responsible for $600 million of institutional and individual assets.
Richard graduated from Colgate University and earned his MBA in Finance at
New York University. He has been in the investment management business for more
than 30 years.
Cassandra
A. Hardman - Cassandra joined Johnston Asset Management in 1997. Prior
to joining the firm, she was a Managing Director and Principal at PCM International,
Inc., an affiliate of Prudential Insurance Company of America. Cassandra has spent
her entire career focused on the international equity markets, and managed separate
and commingled pension accounts totaling more than $900 million.
Cassandra has a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University.
She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Association for Investment
Management and Research, and the New York Society of Security Analysts. Cassandra
has been in the investment management business for more than 20 years.
Peter J. Cummiskey - Peter joined Johnston Asset Management in 2004 as a portfolio manager. Prior to joining the firm, he was a portfolio manager with growth equity manager JM Hartwell in New York. His prior experience also includes several years as a management consultant with a firm specializing in international market entry, cross-border partnership development, and industrial restructurings.
Peter has a BA in International Studies from New York University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Elliott R. Detchon
- Elliott Detchon joined Johnston Asset Management in 2000 as a
fixed income portfolio manager and senior portfolio advisor. He is a former principal
and Chief Investment Officer at Pine Tree Capital, Nakagama & Wallace, an
investment management firm in New York. Elliott has managed fixed-income assets
at Greenwich Asset Management, Alliance Capital, and Brown Brothers, Harriman
& Co. over the last 30 years.
Elliott has a BA from Yale University and an MBA from the Wharton School of
the University of Pennsylvania.
Henry Woo - Henry joined Johnston Asset Management in 2007 as an
analyst/portfolio manager. Prior to joining the firm, he was an equity
research analyst with Trainer Wortham focused on the information technology
sector. Before that, he was an equity research analyst at Citigroup Asset
Management covering global telecom and technology and a research
analyst on the sell-side at Bank of America covering telecom services. His prior background includes over a decade in the telecom and
technology industry with experience spanning engineering, marketing, and
management.
Henry has an SB in Computer Science and Engineering from Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, an MSE in Computer and Information Science from the
University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University
of Pennsylvania. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the
New York Society of Security Analysts. He has 10 years of investment
experience.
